Welcome To Home Remedy Kidney Pain Site

A primary reason natural home remedies are not always effective is because everyone's is different in made and in physicality. Just like many people might have allergic responses to prescription medicines whilst others don't have any issues with them, exactly the same sometimes happens with home, natural and herbal treatments too. To each and everyone to its own.

Among the greatest reasons that natural home remedies for kidney stones aren't effective for everybody though, happens because you will find several various kinds of kidney stones that may develop and not just one. Within 80% of kidney stone cases, the stones comprise mainly of calcium deposits. Which could be dissolved naturally in many ways. Should you develop another type of kidney stones however, the conventional natural home remedies might not fit for you personally.

Now, whether you have a kidney infection or kidney stones, one of the best home remedies you can and should try first is to drink plenty of fluids. If your kidney stones are not large enough to be blocking the passage of urine, then forcing your body to create extra urine can help move the kidney stone out of your system.

If you have a kidney infection, drinking extra fluids can help flush the germs and bacteria out of your system faster.

If the kidney stone is large enough to create a lot of pain, it is most likely too large to go through your ureter tubes easily. One of the best known home remedies for this though, will help relieve the pain of the stone plus help it to break up and dissolve so that it can be passed easily.

This remedy is just simple lemon juice. Not lemon flavored drinks though, real lemon juice is what's needed. Drink at least two ounces, and the kidney stone pain is usually gone within 15-20 minutes. The stone itself often dissolves within about 12-15 hours too.

Some people mix the two ounces of lemon juice with two ounces of virgin olive oil. This can make you feel sick to your stomach, but many people swear by this remedy. Usually the lemon juice alone will do the trick though.

Other people use a coca cola home remedy. The acid in this drink is said to dissolve kidney stones too, and some people have had success by simply drinking a lot at once. It's not the healthiest approach of course, but it has been reported to work well for breaking up kidney stones.

Kidney stones cause a lot of pain and discomfort, the sooner one is able to get rid of them the better it is. If you or someone you know is suffering from kidney stones, the following suggestions may be of help-

• Drink lots of water, it will help in expelling the kidney stone.
• Make water melons a part of your daily diet. The fruit has a high concentration of water and potassium salts, these ingredients help in expelling kidney stones.
• Take care of your diet and avoid eating foods containing animal proteins (meat). You must also limit your salt intake.
• Consume a diet rich in vitamin A, foods like carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, broccoli etc help in maintaining good kidney health
• Have a tea spoon each of basil juice and honey every morning, to get rid of kidney stones faster

Though these home remedies are natural and extremely effective, do remember to consult your doctor before trying them.

Those, who experience kidney pain, should seek medical attention soon. As it is a severe health problem, it may even lead to kidney failure. However, we can try some herbal cures and home remedies for kidney pain that can speed or heal and make the patients more comfortable.

Tomato juice: Drinking tomato juice is one of the best home remedies for kidney pain. Drink tomato juice before you drink or eat anything and drink plenty of water. Chop tomatoes using a clean thick cloth make a tomato poultice. Secure it to the patient’s back by wrapping a cloth around it. Lie down in a cool place until the pain is reduced.

Willow bark tea: Willow bark tea can ease kidney pain and reduce fever. Put willow bark tea in a cup of water and steep for five minutes. You can drink two cups of tea five times a day.

Dandelion tea: Dandelion tea is an effective diuretic. It can get over with the kidney pain by helping to flush your kidneys.

Kidney blend tea: Kidney blend tea contains Juniper Berry, Uva Ursi, Pipsissewa, Buchu, Echinacea, St.John’s Wort, Cayenne and Yarrow. This tea can quickly remove the excess bacteria and yeast in kidney and bladder, which often leads to infection and pain. The St.John’s Wort and Pipsissewa can ease burning and soothe inflammation and pain from the kidneys, urinary tract, bladder and prostate.

Damiana tea: Damiana tea is a diuretic that have pain-relieving properties. Prepare damiana tea as per the advice of an herbalist or the directions on the package.

Feverfew and valerian root: A tea of valerian root and feverfew can be used as one of the most effective home remedies for kidney pain. But, it is not commonly used in children. A tincture of valerian root, Jamaican dogwood root bark, white willow bark, wild yam root, chamomile flower, black cohosh root, cayenne pepper fruit, kava kava, California poppy herb and lobelia herb/seed will help. One to four droppers full of this tincture have to be taken every four hours. It can also be used directed by a health care provider. Pregnant women should not use black cohosh.

Water: Drinking plenty of water is essential for all types of kidney related disorders. Take at least 10 glasses of water every day to flush out kidney stones, bacteria, or germs that may cause kidney infection.

Lemon juice: In case of severe kidney pain due to a blocked urethra, drinking plain water may not help that much. In such situations, the patient should drink a minimum of two ounces of lemon juice. The pain will be reduced in around 20 minutes and the stones are dissolved in 15 hours.

Lady fingers: Home remedies for kidney pain includes ladyfinger. Cut 3 thick and slightly raw lady fingers into slices and steep them in nearly 2 liters of water overnight. Remove the ladyfinger in the morning and squeeze its juice into the same water in which they had been soaked. Drink the full amount of water within a period of 1 to 2 hours.

Virgin olive oil: If the lemon juice does not work well, then this rather severe method is required. Mix 2 ounces of virgin olive oil and 2 ounces of lemon juice and drink it all up. It may have a ghastly taste, but the result would be well worth the effort.

Arthichoke, asparagus, celery, parsley, beet, cranberry juice, watermelon seed tea, mullein tea, barley water and potassium broth are the other effective home remedies for kidney pain. Topical application of turmeric on the kidney is also helpful.

All these home remedies are recommended to be tried only after discussing with a physician or a health care provider.

Natural Remedies for Kidney Stone Pain Relief

Note: Your kidney pain may not respond to these home remedies, but you may get some additional relief. Pain medications may be your best option to minimize the intense agony you are feeling.

1. Increase your water intake dramatically. Try to get 14 glasses of water per day while the kidney stones are passing. Once they have passed, keep drinking plenty of water each day to help prevent future stones.

2. Add a little citric acid to your water. Squeeze some juice from a fresh lemon or add a lemon slice. The citric acid may help to break down the components of the stone (calcium and salts).

3. Apply warm compresses to the area. The heat will help to dull the pain.

4. Find a comfortable position to rest and recover from your kidney stones, but be sure to walk around. Even if walking hurts, get some physical activity each day or you risk getting a serious, and potentially life threatening, blood clot in your leg. You may find that sitting propped up on pillows is much more comfortable than lying on your back.

5. Drink dandelion root tea. This herbal tea may help to cleanse the kidneys by acting as a diuretic. You can purchase this herb at your local natural food store or online at Amazon for about $9 for 30 tea bags.

6. Take Marshmallow root. This herb helps to reduce inflammation naturally in the digestive tract. Kidney stones may irritate and inflame the ureter as they pass to the bladder. This herb is also available at many local natural food stores or online at the Vitamin Shoppe for about $8 for 100 capsules.

Google to kill Google Friend Connect for non-Blogger blogs; Feedburner issues

Attention, all non-Blogger bloggers! Google is killing Friends Connect for all non-blogger sites.

That means, I understand, that you won't be able to use the widget that displays your following, unless you have a blog on Blogger! Here is the quote by Urs Hölzle, Google Senior Vice-President, Operations from the Google official blog:
Google Friend Connect—Friend Connect allows webmasters to add social features to their sites by embedding a few snippets of code. We're retiring the service for all non-Blogger sites on March 1, 2012. We encourage affected sites to create a Google+ page and place a Google+ badge on their site so they can bring their community of followers to Google+ and use new features like Circles and Hangouts to keep in touch.
I don't think it's fair, readers! It seems, Google is trying to stop exodus to Wordpress and other platforms... Independent Fashion Bloggers Community writes more about it. By the way, join this site - you will always be up-to-date on important developments.

Meanwhile, Google seems to be clumsily tinkering on other products as well. If you are using Feedburner by Google, you will notice that your Feedburner widget shows 0 subscribers today! No panic, all your subscribers still receive their feeds, but you should go your Feedburner page and switch to a new Beta version, you subscribers number will re-appear. As for the widget, I haven't heard of any solutions on this one. Let us wait... (Actually, Google has become extremely user-unfriendly! They just cannot handle issues in a transparent and timely manner!)

Back to Google Friend Connect, Blogger sites won't be affected!  However, if you have a non-blogger blog you still have three months to promote other options and let your GFC followers  know about them! Good luck!

Sorry for a non-sewing post - but it affects all of us! What do you think about this move by Google, readers?

Gadgetmania by Maris Olsen: KAI Scissors

Readers, I am so delighted to introduce to you another lovely Gadgetmania Blogger, Maris Olsen of Sew Maris.
Sew Maris works and teaches in her home studio in Bellevue,Washington. No wonder she is passionate about fabrics, notions, patterns, sewing books and tools. She attends sewing workshops and conferences and takes classes whenever she has a chance. By the way, tomorrow, her first(!) granddaughter is due, and Maris is now on her way to New York to spend some time with her family - so, let’s wish them all the best! And, thank you, Maris, for finding time to write this great post!

(By the way, sorry for the absence of images, as KAI Scissors is very strict about linking to their website, even if it constitutes fair use, such as this review. Just follow the links below to learn more.)

Hi! My name is Maris Olsen, and I am a full-time sewing nerd and part-time instructor in Bellevue, WA. When Marina asked for guest bloggers to write a post about their favorite tools, it was a no-brainer for me. I LOVE KAI scissors!

OK. First order of business – a little description. Kai scissors are made of Japanese steel and vanadium. Van-ah-di-what? I will spare you all the scientific mumbo-jumbo – what you care about is vanadium makes the steel harder. Which means it retains a sharp edge longer. That is goodness for people like me who want to cut fabric into all hours of the night and hate, hate, hate dull blades slowing them down. They also have awesome-ly ergonomic handles. Also, more goodness for prolific sewers, and people who might be developing a little arthritis in their hands. Not because they are old or anything, but just because. ;-)

Kai has several different lines of scissors and tools to suit a variety of uses and budgets. Kai makes 17 different scissor styles in their Standard line – all of which are part of the 5100 series. I own one of these babies – the Kai 5135C 5 1/2 inch Curved Blade Scissors. I use them every day. I love how the curved blade makes grading seam allowances a little easier. I also use them to trim threads when I can’t lay my hands on one of my 4 pairs of the little yellow handled 4 inch craft scissors. Which also, BTW, do an AMAZINGLY fast job of snipping thru a seam I need to unpick.

I also own two pairs from their Professional line – the Kai 7250 10 inch Professional Shears and the Kai 7240-AS 10 inch Serrated Edge Shears.
These are both part of the 7100 series, and are they ever sweet. They cut like budd-ah. The action on both these shears is just a dream, and every time I use them I am happy. I wish, wish, wish I had owned the serrated ones when I was cutting out yards of silk charmeuse for my daughter’s wedding dress.

If you would like to do yourself a favor and own a fantastic cutting tool, high-tail it on over to Kai Scissors and place an online order. You are not likely to regret anything you buy from this fine brand. Hmmm, maybe I should try out one of their universal rotary cutters – works both right or left-handed – sounds like another tool I need!

I hope you enjoyed the post as much as I did! I heard great reviews of KAI Scissors and will try them  once I will need a replacement for mine.
